Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota welcomes Dr. Marvin Berkowitz and Dr. Kristin Pelster for a workshop for Ed.S. faculty on October 14th. Berkowitz is a world-renowned scholar, researcher, and educator from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He wrote PRIMED for Character Education: Six Design Principles for School Improvement. Dr. Kristen Pelster, also from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, will also present on character education.
Please join us in partnership with Sisters' Camelot to prepare and distribute food to local food kitchens, the Kitchen Bus, and those in need.
Saint Mary's welcomes Matt Birk on October 24 to speak on "Life as Sport: Winning, Learning, and Defining Personal Success" at the Page Theatre. Birk is a former Minnesota Viking, Super Bowl Champion, speaker, and author. Mr. Birk’s keynote lecture will be one of four separate engagements on campus this day. The Notre Dame Club of Minnesota is partnering with the Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis and Saint Mary's University of Minnesota in presenting the Hesburgh Lecture series: Bridging the Divide. These "small bites" of personal development and character programming are designed to provide participants with a quick and meaningful boost of awareness and intentionality wile filling their personal development and character toolboxes. All webinars will be on Tuesdays 3:30-5:00 pm CDT. Each session is $20. 1.5 continuing education units (C.E.U.s) will be awarded to participants for each session.
