Sisters’ Camelot Food Distribution Volunteer Opportunity

Join us in sorting, packing and distributing food on December 19 at the Saint Mary's University Center. Saint Mary’s has partnered with Sisters’ Camelot, a Minneapolis non-profit organization dedicated to “food justice, waste reduction, sustainable living, community building, and youth education” (sisterscamelot.org). The organization distributes fresh fruits and vegetables at different locations to those in need.  Food will be distributed to anyone that is interested from 2:30 - 3:30 pm. Letters of Love Volunteer Opportunity

Come and write encouraging letters to young patients in hospitals and bring your lunch! This volunteer opportunity will take place on Tuesday, January 9 from 12:30-1:15pm in Mother Teresa Hall.

Leveraging Character Strengths to Enhance your Leadership Capacity with Dr. Antar Salim

Saint Mary's professor Antar Salim will lead a learning circle that aims to explore the intersection of character and leadership. All Saint Mary's staff and faculty are invited to attend. Lunch will be served. The event will be at Mother Teresa Hall on the Minneapolis campus, on Tuesday January 23, 12:00-1:30pm. Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota is thrilled to welcome back Dr. Marvin Berkowitz for the Ed.S. Spring Faculty Workshop. Dr. Marvin W Berkowitz is a world renowned scholar, researcher and educator. He is the inaugural Sanford N. McDonnell Endowed Professor of Character Education, and Co-Director of the Center for Character and Citizenship at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is the author of PRIMED for Character Education: Six Design Principles for School Improvement.
