Saint Mary’s welcomed Dr. Kristin Melley, the executive director of Dominican Veritas Ministries, on September 16 to present to the inaugural cohort of students in the Catholic school leadership program. Among Dr. Melley’s many accomplishments, she has served as principal of Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, MA and the director of professional development at the Roche Center for Catholic Education at Boston College.

The School of Education hosted its Summer Institute on June 15 and 16 for candidates in the Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Educational Administration program on the Minneapolis Campus. Supported by the $1.7 million grant received from the Kern Family Foundation, the Summer Institute featured nationally recognized speakers and formation activities aimed to equip participants to become leaders of character and lead schools of character. The school of education will host the Ed.S. Summer Institute for students in the Education Specialist (Ed.S.) program on June 15 and 16 at the University Center on its Minneapolis campus.  In previous institutes, over 75 educators have participated in a variety of presentations including Saint Mary’s virtue-based approach to professional ethics, Wise Leadership. The 2023 Summer Institute will feature nationally recognized presenters Lance Forman and Robin Cayce from Lipscomb University.
