Saint Mary’s professor Antar Salim will lead a learning circle that aims to explore the intersection of character and leadership. Specifically, it will provide participants with a deeper understanding of their character strengths and strategies to leverage those strengths to enhance their leadership capabilities. The first portion of the session will focus on the relationship between character strengths and virtues. The second portion is geared to provide you with a working definition of leadership. Ultimately, this 90-minute interactive session will provide learners with preliminary insight into their 24-character strengths based on your customized Virtue In Action (VIA) profile, however, given the time allotted, we will focus on the top 5. At the conclusion of our time, learners will have individualized competencies to improve their leadership abilities.
All Saint Mary’s staff and faculty are invited to attend. Lunch will be served. The event will be at Mother Teresa Hall on the Minneapolis campus, on Tuesday January 23, 12:00-1:30pm. If interested in attending please contact Nancy Erickson at: nerickso@smumn.edu
